You don't have to start a revolution or war to become a nationalistic person, You just have to do the best you can to fight for your rights and make your country proud! Here are some ways to show our patriotism:
You don't have to start a revolution or war to become a nationalistic person, You just have to do the best you can to fight for your rights and make your country proud! Here are some ways to show our patriotism:
- Respect the Flag. One way is by singing the national anthem with respect. Respect and reverence to the national flag is a simple way to show your love for the country.
- Be in the know.Being updated with the country's issues and projects are also ways to show your nationalism. You can tell your friends and family your opinions and insights. You can also write a blog about a particular issue.
- Buy our products (Tangkilikin ang sariling atin!): Filipinos tend to buy imported products. Why not try local brands? just cause it's local doesn't mean it's inferior! Buying Filipino made products will help boost our economy.
- If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! Don't speak ill of our country to others, especially to foreigners. One step to a better country is POSITIVITY!
- Dispose of your trash properly: Keep our country clean, green and beautiful!

DeleteI love the message of tihs blog! =)) I definitely agree that being nationalistic is something doable and I am glad to see that you, as a freshman, is already starting to have interest in these things. It's the same thing as being a hero, people think that you have to do so much in or order to be one, but the truth is, it's very simple! I'm glad you were able to point that out! Good job! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks vernon! :) hahahaha
DeleteI absolutely agree on all the five ways you have written.
ReplyDeleteVery simple ways and if all will do these, I'm sure it will help our country progress faster.
thank you! :)
DeleteThat's correct, Ree! But we shouldn't only just respect the flag, we should also embody the things that we sing during the singing of the national anthem. I think that's what truly makes us nationalistic. :) Keep it up, Ree!
ReplyDeleteThanks tinaa! :))
DeleteThis is a good message to tell everyone. Sometimes we really need a reminder on these simple things that we SHOULD be doing for the Philippines. It's great that you're also planning to apply it. I'll do my best to remember these as well, and I'll also spread the word. Great job :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks rosette! :))
DeleteWow, in my school, we had to do something similar to this and I think your work is a lot better. This served as a reminder to me to watch what I'm doing more often and it also gave me more rules to live by to become a better Filipino citizen. Awesome job!
